Welcome to the website for Gateway Tracking Club

The Gateway Tracking Club, founded in 1979 by St Louis area tracking enthusiasts, is dedicated to:

Encouraging and promoting dog training, particularly with respect to tracking.

Protect and advance the interest of dogs.

Provide comprehensive tracking instruction and training to dog owners.

The study of the ability of dogs to track and to advance the knowledge of scent       discrimination.

Conduct tracking matches and tests under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Promote the objectives and standards of the American Kennel Club, particularly       with respect to tracking.

Gateway Tracking Club has a membership roster of people from diverse backgrounds, the common link being their love of dogs and the sport of tracking. We have the distinction of over 100 collective titles and the expertise of 7 AKC tracking judges among our members. Our club meets 4 times a year and visitors are always welcome. The club offers many interesting and educational opportunities for the novice as well as the experienced dog owner, such as:

All of our classes, seminars, matches and clinics are open to the general public with purebred or mixed breed dogs.
